Desperate times call for desperate measures

And here we have a firm believer in the notion that gratuitous flattery + unbridled obsession + flowery prose = fast seduction. Seriously, some people need to learn when its time to give up .. like when the person

NEVER RESPONDS TO YOUR MESSAGE

From the most delusional reaches of cyberspace I bring you .. someone I have never even met.

I cannot explain why but I think about you every day. It is completely
illogical, I know, but I find my self visiting your profile and staring into
those enigmatic eyes of yours and wondering what you are doing, what you are
dreaming, who your are and who you will become. I know by your words that
you are extremely intelligent, liberal and open minded, yet, a little dark
and eccentric. These are qualities of character. They draw me to know what
environmental influences were at work to create this beautiful person. Like
a fine wine that is awakened from it's twenty year slumber it must be given
time to breathe and once tasted, it must be so very carefully savored to be
truly enjoyed. To me you represent this anxious anticipation of what could
be. Sharing timeless thought provoking conversations that flow easily from
one topic to another. Traveling for hours to a place only to share our
secret thoughts and witness the simple melding of colors of an evening
sunset. Or perhaps, walking along a deserted beach together just silently
appreciating the soft moist caress of the wind. Now maybe all of this sounds
like words of a desperate man or the opening to a cheap dime store romance
novel injected with a few superfluous words purposely designed to get you to
shed your panties. Please. I assure you that I am about as far from being
desperate as you can get and have much greater and important things to do
than such trivial pursuits as sex. Besides,  I respect you more than that. I
have wandered around this planet alone long enough to know that the things
that truly turn me on are pushing and testing life's precious envelope both
physically and mentally. Things like the seductive rush of speed, the
elements of nature and well, writing all of this to a woman I have never met
get me off far more satisfactorily than any one-night tryst every will. I am
simply confidant that  we have a lot to offer to each other. I am not filthy
rich but have plenty of money and do not spend more than I make along with
the knowledge and ideas of how to make plenty more.  I am not looking for a
trophy girl that I can keep for my own petty self-esteem and parade around
for all to see. In a word, I am looking for an equal. One that compliments,
challenges and completes my life in a symbiotic synergy that makes us both
better each and every day. A friend, a confidant and a partner. I give you
this glimpse into my thoughts and emotions because I sense that you may be
looking for the same thing. I certainly do not pretend to know you by any
means but rather there is enough intriguing information about you to want to
know more.  There is so much I want to tell you and at the same time learn
from you for I am a drinker of knowledge and a collector of experiences and
so are you. We could be a formidable team, you and I, against the iniquities
of the world and at the same time accelerate or own personal goals and
ambitions together. So now that I have railed along a little about me and
what I think and feel, I offer you the opportunity to do the same. Somehow I
see very little risk in alll of this turning out badly or disappointing for
either of us. But what I know?

Note: This is the third such email I have received from this individual.

Does anyone besides myself find this message eerily reminiscent of that Fatal Attraction scene where Glenn Close is sitting on the floor and flicking the light switch on and off in a repetitive sequence? Oh well, maybe I'm taking the deranged lunatic imagery a bit too far.

*whips out a can of pepper spray*

Then again, who cares?
