That joyful time of the year arrives when I must determine my schedule for next semester. The sticking point this time around is the "US Diversity" course I am required to take; as you can probably tell from the name, it's a bullshit requirement, as are almost every single one of the courses acceptable for it. None of them overly interest me, and none of them have to deal with the various groups of European-Americans; apparently diversity only exists in the form of differing skin colors, or so you'd think by looking at the course listing. Same goes for the religious courses that could fulfill the requirement: apparently only Judaism, Islam, and American Indian religions are practiced in America and worth studying. Sometimes I hate college.
