Where to even start. First of all, the fact that white men are the major controlling force in politics is supposed to be NEWS? Also, when did white men become a voting block? Welcome to pretty much the only demographic universally allowed to have their own opinions, no matter how stupid they are. The implications of that headline are repulsive. You’re drawing out race in the opening line, thereby explicitly asking readers to imagine a subservient black man pandering to big, powerful white dudes. Never mind that the article is specifically about working class whites, an economic distinction more worthy of the header than the racial one. Fucking repulsive. I couldn’t be more tired of the way our media’s been functioning, and there’s no hope on the horizon of it getting any fucking better.
