Biblically speaking, do you view evangelism as a specific spritiual gift given to people or a calling that is given to all of God's children?

What do ya think....

hmm. good question. i've thought about it a lot. i live two guys who are totally blessed in having the spiritual gift of evangelism. they have a passion for it, and they are able to communicate about God effectively, and i have seen it grow within them. I, however, find it difficult to actively evangelize to people, and i often let the idea that "it's my spiritual gift" limit me. i use that as an excuse to justify my passivity because we all are really called to evangelize and reach out to the world.

i'm glad you asked this question because i've struggled with it a lot in the past, and i continue to struggle with it. hmm. thanks for giving me something more to think about.

have a great semester!

Evangelism is given to all christians. The spiritual gift of evangelist is a specific gift given to some. It's just like teaching. All christians are able to teach, but some are given the gift of teaching.
