I ate BALUT last night...i thought I was going to hurl! It doesnt actually taste that bad but the smell and texture is disgusting enough to make you puke! Yum...you have to love aborted duck eggs! Last night we threw a big bday party for 4 people and since the summer missionaries are about to leave they had us go sit in the front of the room. Well they had us surrounded adn then they brought in the balut and wouldnt let us leave so there we were stuck with the eggs in our laps. The whole summer we have all said that we wuld refuse to eat it no matter what so I just put my egg on teh ground and wasnt going to eat. Then, everyone else opened thiers up and they ate it so then I had to eat or I woudl look bad. It was not a good situation, but very entertaining for all the Filipinos! Man...im going to miss those guys! I wish I could just go home for a week and visit everyone and then come back here. Tommorow is going to be a sad day...the first of our groups leaves...:(
