man on a mission, doctor who, ten/jack, pg, 558 words

It's a fluffy crack and it's Christmas themed. Sorry for that.

The Doctor wants something. Jack doesn't have a clue.
Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS into the chilly Cardiff night. He was a man on a mission and had to find a way to get what he wanted.
Jack was sitting in his office when the sudden appearance of a certain Time Lord completely surprised him.
"Doc, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be somewhere rescuing aliens from some other aliens..." Jack didn't seem to be entirely sober.
"Oh no, no, no, aliens of the universe can survive today without me. Come on Jack, we're going out!" Doctor grabbed Captain's hand and started dragging him to the door not giving him time to think about what was happening.
So here they were, on the street, looking for something. And it was freezing. If he wasn't the Doctor Jack would be very angry but he was, so Captain was only a little annoyed because he didn't know what got into his alien friend.
"Come on Jack, cheer up. It's such a lovely night, people in rush, the smell of winter..." The Doctor breathed cold air into his lungs.
Jack only groaned.
Then the Doctor dragged him to some store and went to the grocery part of it.
"There's no way I'm cooking a dinner... or breakfast or anything actually Doctor, what is it all about?"
Time Lord made his beaten puppy face and went out of the store. Jack rolled his eyes and started walking out too.
"I know." The Doctor beamed. "A little trip in the TARDIS, what do you say, Jack?"
Time Lord's eyes were so pleading that he didn't have a heart to say no to him. "Alright but only a very little one."
"Of course." The Doctor said and started almost running in the direction of his precious machine.
Jack rolled his eyes again.
Jack went out of the TARDIS. "What the hell Doctor? I mean I know you have your eccentricities but this?
"I know, I know...." Doctor seemed very dissapointed.
"What was it with this invasion of green bunnies anyway?"
"They were ruled by a big pink bunny so they obviously made a rebellion because really Jack, big pink bunny? So they're looking for a new planet but their methods are quite questionable and they always seem to be not where they supposed to."
Jack shook his head and was going to go back to HUB when he noticed Time Lord's sad face.
"Alright Doc, enough of that, just tell me what's going on."
The Doctor seemed very reluctant to answer that question but after a minute he said "It's Christmas tomorrow."
Jack was very confused. "Yeah, my team mentioned something but I still don't get..."
"I just wanted to spend this time the way people do. And I wanted to spend it with you, Jack."
"Oh Lord, why can't you just say when you want something but must do all those weird things that always end up as trouble. I didn't even remember it was Christmas because well, I was never that kind of a person and also this whole thing became very boring to me years ago. But not all Christmas traditions are that bad..." said Jack looking at the mistletoe that was hanging at the shop's window they were standing next to.
A few hours later The Doctor decided this Christmas wasn't so bad after all.
