Green

It isn’t easy being green.
“Ain’t that the truth?”
Logan digs Kermit the Frog. He gets him. He's found that it really isn’t easy to be green…or pink, or any other colour of the fucking rainbow. In fact, existing is pretty fucking hard when all anyone sees is that his family is fucked up and that the only thing he has around him is all this green -all this fucking money that he doesn’t even need…or want. Where are all his so-called friends now? They’re standing in line with everyone else, buying the rags that promise to divulge every tortured detail of Lilly’s murder… So, excuse him if Kermit is starting to make a whole lot of sense.
If he’s honest, though, he doesn’t really get all the whining about that Miss Piggy chick. Having someone in his corner would be a nice thing right about now, but Veronica still won’t give him the time of day. Like it’s his fault that his father's a psycho? Like he has any control? Hell, maybe she thinks it’s genetic. And with all the rage planting a stronghold inside of him, he can almost understand why she stays away. Maybe he is just as twisted.
And that’s not even the worst of his problems!
Dad’s lawyers have brought in a “media coach” to add some spin on the trial. They tell him what to say and how to act and when to grieve…soon they’re going to put him on a strict diet to regulate his bowel movements…just so they can be in charge of when he takes a shit. So, yeah, right now he knows how Kermit feels. He, too, has a fucking hand shoved up his ass. And it isn’t fun being anyone’s puppet.
Good ol’ Aaron plays his part well. He’s approaching this trial like it’s the greatest role he’s every fucking had. And the fans are eating it right up. The rights have probably already been sold. It’ll be a big fucking seller for the Hallmark Channel. He’d blow chunks, but it isn’t on the list of things he can do…and it really wouldn’t seem too supportive --which is what they want. They want to see him standing by his father, supporting him. Even though daddy dearest took away the one thing--the one person--that he loved most in the world. And, if he wants to get technical, Lilly isn't the only person he took from him. Papa Echolls might as well have shoved his mother off that bridge…he’d certainly been driving her closer and closer to the edge as the years went on. But those are the thoughts that Logan isn’t allowed to speak or even think, in the quiet confines of his own mind.
All Logan can do is watch and wait and try not to be sick.
So there you have it, summed up in a nutshell: It really isn’t easy being green.
