Last time the interdimensional hop happened, I wasn't allowed to go along for the ride. Who would've thought I'd be doing it myself, all on my own? Lucky me, one of the few, the proud, the stuck in the middle of nowhere with no clue about how to get back. But the good thing about the people I know, they're good at establishing themselves elsewhere ( Read more... )

No anti-mutant propaganda here in the City. Folks here have bigger things to fry than us.

Welcome to the City, Julian, was it? People are pulled here from different times as well as dimensions which means I don't know you, but you might know me.

As for X-Men proper - there's Kitty, Logan and me. Some of the guys from X-Factor - at least what I understand is the current incarnation of it - Rictor and Madrox. There's also a slew of other folks from Earth 616, a couple of Skrulls, Iron Man and a few New Avengers.

Marvel Girl. You're my tutor, or so they told me. I know you. We're both telekinetics.

And I'm starting to think I'm most on the up and up with things. Well, isn't that special.

I'm your...tutor?

Are you telepathic as well?

I'm not too good at controlling it myself since Miss Frost changed things up a bit for me. That's where you come in, but you were off in space doing something.

And nope, just got one going for me.

Emma freaking Frost. Of course.

I hear that space rumor. It hasn't happened for me yet, or I'd offer details. Aside from the fact that I'm supposed to be stopping or killing an Uncle I didn't even know I had, I don't know a lot.

...What did Emma change and how did she do it?

I know enough that you guys were gone while more shit went down. That's really all you need to know.

Miss Frost removed some mental blocks to increase my potential to save a friend. They were set back and I came down, but at a higher level than before. And there went my control. If you're looking to blow down a wall, that's good, but I can barely pick up a paperclip.

...that does not make me feel good. And will probably freak Kitty out again. Goody.

So you cant pick up a paperclip and I can re-arrange molecules. Yeah, I guess I can see where'd I'd be a choice.

I broke the sound barrier in speed once while flying. It was pretty impressive.

But let's just say I'm one of the most powerful while you're gone. Imagine the earth being stuck with me as the representative.

Nice - gone orbital yet?

...and what's so wrong with you? Or should I not ask?

You can do that, can't you? I haven't.

Paperclip thing. Other things, too. I'd rather not be in this alone without a team.

There's no team per se, but you won't be alone. How old are you?

We can always find something for you Julian. You know, if you get bored.

What's your code name, anyway?

I was planning on it, anyway. I'll handle it myself.

Hellion.
