She was 103, but it is still sad.

She had such an awful quality of life over the past decade, what with a nursing home that didn't care, children that robbed her blind and bickered between one another waiting for the inheritance to be theirs, no brandy, no cigarettes, going blind and deaf slowly...

I'm glad it has finally happened because she didn't deserve to be treated the way she did in old age, but it is still sad.

Mum and I have an agreement that if her quality of life is not longer there, then she doesn't want to sit and wait - death by margaritas.
