Happy Holidays From The Orient
Christmas has come & passed with little fanfare, but that doesn't mean I didn't have a great time! I got to spend it with friends this year, in lieu of family as usual. I have just become accustomed to calling my parents and wishing them a happy holiday because work/money prevents me from ducking out for a week or two this time of year. We spent 10 days together LAST year right before Christmas, so we got a bit of a "cheat" to hold us over until I leave the Air Force in a few years. ^_^
Still not entirely sure what I'll do for New Year's Eve, as a scheduling change means I will be working that night until 10PM. Waah waah! :P I planned to stay local this year instead of heading into Tokyo, and this pretty much forces the issue. I have time enough to get changed after work & grab some cash, and make it down into Fussa for about an hour before midnight. I hope a majority of the Americans decide to head "deep into the chome" for their festivities so it isn't a total titsmash at the bars & discos here in town. Enough people to celebrate with screams & shouts and bad dancing is just right for me. :)
