Valentines Day

Wednesday 14 February … Valentines Day.  No Valentine as usual, I instead got IT problems at work, which meant no internet until midday.  Crippled us, that’s for sure.  It turned out (after much frustration by me trying to find the problem and Bigpond saying that it wasn’t their fault), that Telstra had reset the DNS numbers but hadn’t told Bigpond.  How awesome.

I had the Wednesday afternoon off and I caught up with Cutie for a late lunch with Cutie at about 3PM at Sugar and Spice.  He bought me a white rose and I bought him an ice cream.  How sweet lol.

That night I drove mum to African Queen’s house before heading out to see Drummer Man that night.  Cheffy and Mustard were there with some friends, along with Cheffy’s brother, Blondie, who I recognised from my high school (he was a year or two below me) and because he was friends with one of Miss Teacher’s friends.  It pretty much turned into a high school reunion, as some of their friends I also recognised from high school … tho I don’t remember Cheffy or Mustard, which is strange, because they went to the same school.  It was a birthday party for one of their friends as well as a bit of a goodbye bash for Cheffy - he was leaving to move to Canberra in March.  Blondie and I hit it off quite well actually.  Then I went and spilt wine on myself … so I took off the top layer shirt (woven silver top), leaving my black singlet underneath.  Drummer Man’s comment over the mic was “Oh, if that’s all it takes to get the girls to take their shirts off, then lets spill some more wine!  What about if we spill some wine on your other shirt, will you take that off too?!”

Cheffy and Mustard wanted me to sing, as did Drummer Man (he teased the boys because they had missed my performance at the last Carousel gig).  We didn’t get to it though.

At the end of the night, Drummer Man and I were chatting as usual, when Duty Manager poked his head over the barricade, “I don’t mean to interrupt, but what the f@!k do you two find to talk about week in, week out?  I don’t even talk that much to my missus” and wandered off lol.  Considering it was Valentine’s Day, we still went and sat down at the beach.  It was a bit of an earlier home time … but not by much.  Sweetheart had wanted to come out, but she was sick, she’d gone home early from work with a migraine and throwing up, which wasn’t good at all.
