Everyone's leaving me!
It seems January was the month that everyone was moving away from the Sunny Coast. On the 16th, at a usual Tuesday arvo coffee, we had a farewell drink for Cutie and Miss Teacher. Cutie was moving to Brisbane to give it a go down there (closer to Youth Worker), transferring to a connected pub to the one he was working in on the Coast. Miss Teacher was preparing to move to Blackwater for her country posting with BeachBabe. Both farewell parties were still to come. Frank and I had an sms “discussion” about the farewell coffee, which I’ll explain more in another update, but it wasn’t really pleasant.
On the Wednesday night I headed to Friday’s for Drummer Man’s gig as usual. One of the NZ ladies was there with her roommate, but it was pretty quiet. They left fairly early, but Drummer Man and I did our usual chat …I think I got to bed at 4AM.
Thursday night was Cutie’s farewell party at the pub where he worked on the Coast. I met a few of his colleagues and friends who were lovely and welcoming. Later on in the night, I drove them up to Buderim Tavern for uni night and then went home to crawl into bed.
