Trump for president
I have come up with a strong reason to support Donald Trump for president. It's a little game theory, but it's final in my view.
Over the past decades, starting with FDR, and continuing from there, the powers of the presidency have been steadily growing. To the point that Obama is functionally a dictator. He institutes massive changes without the *slightest* attention paid to process, to the constitution, or the rule of law.
There's pretty good reason to think that a trump presidency would reverse that trend. *Both* parties would come out of the gate opposing him tooth and nail. That would create a body of precedent for limitations on executive authority. A body of precedent that is, at this point, sorely needed.
Well, that, and I would far prefer to see the confirmation hearings of Justice Judy, over another Sotomayor or Kagan.
