Coyote got a job!

Oct 09, 2004 20:24

and our applications have been approved for the townhouse.

Story of Coyote's job, in short:
Years ago he worked at a grocery store as a night stocker (he prefers night stalker, lol) He quit that job with proper notice to move on to a better paying job. He applied out of desperation back at his old store a few months ago and was not rehired.

A couple of weeks ago, Steve and I went to a different store in the same chain to go shopping in the middle of the night, on a weird "whim" of mine.
We were greeted in the store by Coyote's old night manager and several other people who used to be his co workers, I mentioned that Coyote was looking for a job and they got all excited and sent me with a fresh application for him.

After three required interveiws, he is again employed and with people he regards as old friends, at a job that he can at the very least tolerate doing.
Nekhtet!

My job is going well, though this upcoming week will be it's version of running the gauntlet. I have training every evening until Thursday until 8 P.M. Thursday morning, I need to meet my supervisor at the office at 7:45 A.M. and go with her to the group home I will be actually working at, which i have not seen yet. I will be in "shadow training" with her until 8 P.M. that night, and then I will be repeating that on Friday. I will get Saturday off, to pack for our upcoming move. Then Sunday I will start my first official non-training shift from 8 A.M. till 8 P.M. and I will work that same shift both Monday and Tuesday. Then I will have some time off, though I will have one day a week on call, so I do not know which day of the week that will be.

I am not complaining, I think that I will over all find the work enjoyable and rewarding, but I am likely to be very tired. :) We will be moving some time later that week or one of the next two weeks.

Time to run through the fire and make it through to the other side. ;)
