I don't post as much but I definitely read just as much LJ as I used to. Sadly, it looks like the LJ post has gone the way of myspace and is losing out to FB's one-liners. I understand the ease of it but miss my friends' posts.
So here's my update:
Currently watching Triplets of Belleville with Andru. Well, he's watching and I'm on the computer. He had a pretty good week last week but looks like this week is his week for nausea and general crappiness. I can tell this because he's watching a movie and laying on the couch. Doctor has him on antibiotics, which so far haven't done much for him. Sigh. Another month and we'll be able to cross Whipple's off the list. Dammit.
Work is work. The hours are very convenient since it's a call center, though for December I've been loaded up. It would be a lucky break to get a permanent position there; though the money isn't great, the flexible hours are. If that doesn't happen, I'll probably switch to a different temp agency that specializes in mid-shift work. Having money is nice, having more money would be even nicer. Sitting at a desk all day is killing me, though! Just got the Montavilla parks & recreation booklet and they have really cheap swimming aerobics down the street from me. Think I'm going to buy a bathing suit that fits (and is appropriate for a public swimming pool) and start going. I've been wanting to do it for a while and this is fairly cheap.
Not much else going on. Don't get to hang out with friends as much this month because of my hours, but I do have a CHEESE DATE with K&V soon. Whoot! And I see some of my lady friends at the bar when I'm working. My Aunt Betty Jo and Uncle Robert will be visiting my parents for x-mas and New Year's, which should be... an adventure. No other holiday plans besides hanging with them. New Year's I'll probably... do nothing and be okay with that. Share a drink with my sweetie at midnight-ish then curl up with him in bed. That sounds like a very nice plan to me. If anyone is doing anything "exciting" that doesn't involve a bar, let me know. I think just a quiet get-together, maybe dinner, with friends would be a wonderful way to celebrate.
Book update: Just got done reading My Life in France by Julia Child. Very good, but it had two things I love- stories about living in France and tales of cooking fancy food. Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series just came out with another one, which I've already finished, and now I'm bereft of books.
Gah, this movie is sortof grotesque. The obese dog, the anorexic bicyclist with the disgusting legs, the crazy-eyed accordion player? Love the music, though. But what the hell is up with the teeth?
