Soooooooooo....
I've been home for Thanksgiving all week, and it's gone by very quickly. I always look for time to just chill in Bloomington, but it seems like when I actually go and do it, I get bored so fast.
I finally got to see Ms. Cara Smith last night, as she has been avoiding me all break (not really, she actually has been trying to convince me to go to "Light Up Corydon" all today. Bet you can't imagine why I passed that opportunity up).
Last night was a good time. Went with Cara to the new Target, bought some gloves, went to Steak and Shake because we have been coveting Holiday Shakes, then saw Rent, then hung out at Denny's. Rent was ok.. Very sad. It wasn't what I expected, though I'm not sure what I really expected. Everyone always made it out to be a movie about a bunch of gay people with AIDS. It wasn't that.... So I enjoyed it. Now I'll just have to get Lori to see it, even though she continuously professes that Rent would be the soundtrack in her own personal Hell. I think that's only because of her former roommate who was obsessed with it...
Also, I don't know why I'm such a spaz and reserving seats in a movie theater always stresses me out. Maybe I have issues..........naaahh.
After the movie, as stated before, I went to Denny's. It was sort of a random crowd.. Me, Jenny, Far(r)ah, Cara, Thoms, and Andy(Drew). I haven't really seen Andy since we graduated. He was quite different than what I remember him, not in a bad way, but I suppose we all are. It was fun to catch up with everyone. I think we were there until about 2:30 in the morning.
There was something else I wanted to write about... Oh yeah. I went to my first gay bar ever, not really by choice. Bullwinkle's was raising money for Miss Gay IU, and since I'm the President blahblahblah I felt it necessary to go and man a table to raise extra cash. We made a fair amount of money in the end, and it was nice of the bar and everyone to show their support for us, monetarily. I actually had to end up being the door guy for a time because their person called in, so that was an interesting experience.
I had planned to get some extra work done over the break... The break is over tomorrow, and I haven't done anything extra. Oh well.. at least I got a much needed catchup time on sleep and relaxation. I hope you all had a good break too.
