Ode To The Wild Within
As the moon strikes rage in the tamed man's eyes,
Hands once slaves set the dead concrete ablaze;
Reborn in drops of smoldering gray lies,
Both man and earth stand purged of their false face;
As the unfettered howls of the wild pack
Shatter the chains of the thrallish, pitiful pet,
Once a mere shadow of her primordial pact
Now wild truth reigns and false manners rent;
As roots-numb beneath paved rapacity,
Seeping drips of strength from deluge-like rains-
Tatter the cement cloak of civility
With vines like skinny fists reclaiming wolfsbane:
So too may these words ignite a fervid spark,
That leads you to me with your freshly feral heart.
