Six months ago this really sad thing happened in my life and I took some time off from living to hide out in my old bedroom and write songs. The idea came to me as I looked around my dusty room looking for something to remember someone who had slipped through my flailing fingers. It struck me that what I did have was an innumerable  supply of memories. Six months later I had 38 minutes of music: my eight attempts to chronicle the beauty of a year that could never be done justice by the crooning of a eighteen year old preterist. Regardless, two nights ago my Muse and I sat laughing my apartment as we assembled the cd's, one by one.

Flood Letters, is my own little tribute to the honesty of teenage love, the eternal wonder of flood mythology, the validity of eternal recurrence, and the ironic beauty of Tallahassee-era song writing. It is the story of my attempts to distill the ethereal wonderment that permeates my life with the presence of a certain person into the restrictive confines of folk songs.

My only goal when I make something creative is to affect one person. As long as one person in an anonymous bedroom somewhere in America presses play on her stereo and feels something, anything, I have succeeded. Music saved my life, and although I will probably never reach the level of those brave men and women who have gave me strength through their songs, I am trying to give back.

Copies of Flood Letters cost three dollars (to cover supplies and postage). I don't feel the need to capitalize on my creative efforts so I'm keeping the price as low as I can to break even and make more copies. If you care for a copy you can email me (kennotbombs@riseup.net) or you can just go ahead and send thee dollars of well-concealed cash to:
