The Santa Cruz Full Moon Is Epic

I should really be reading book VI of the Illiad, but I'd rather provide posterity with a coherent account of the last few episodes in the ever exciting saga that is my life.
On friday night I saw the best/most heart-wrenching movie I have ever seen: Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance. It's a Korean film about the most tragic situation of all time. It made me utterly miserable, but was, in hindsight, completely worth seeing. It was the impetus for a number of strange and urgent phone calls. Saturday consisted of writing songs, vegan potlucks, living room folk, sketchy hitching, and lots of sleep. I got incredibly lost in the woods on sunday afternoon. I'm deathly afraid of being eaten by a mountain lion--the threats are real! I had my first midterm on monday. I fucking destroyed.
Monday night I hopped in a scary white van with some buddies and we went to the Zombie Co-op on Laurel. The Zombie Co-op is basically a punk rock paradise: two old houses shared between twenty-two people. It doubles as a show space and an organic bulk store. There is this breathtakingly cute crusty couple who apparently live there. I see them every where I go and I'm so jealous. Punk and in love is the best combination ever. Man! Anyways, Defiance, Ohio played in the living room of the co-op and it blew the Gilman show to smithereens. Seeing them play feels so fucking good. I become completely elated. That night Seth and Ashley had me over for fudge and killer conversation. I'm basically in love with their love.
There was a disappointing anti-recruitment protest this morning. I'm so bored with liberals' willingness to recite the same trite chants time after time. It's to be expected, I guess. It drizzled beautifully all day today. I'm coming, Homer.
Oh, P.S. I've totally fallen back in love with crust, or something.
