My workplace just implemented a new policy to the email system that's made of LOL.
A 10 minutes send/recieve policy.
Meaning, after a person types out a message and clicks the "send" button. That message will sit in the "Outbox" and gets sent after 10 minutes. For incoming mails, we'll only recieve it when the server moves its ass every 10 minutes.
So, we only get notifications of new mail every 10 minutes and our replies gets sent out after 10 minutes. That's like 20 minutes wasted on waiting for urgent replies!?
This was suggested because of the amount of people who keep anyhow clicking on "send" without checking what shit they typed and who they're supposed to send it to...
I cannot foresee how this is supposed to boost work efficiency... I GOTTA START DRAFTING THAT RESIGNATION LETTER SOON.
