Have you ever wondered what people will see when they look back on our time, a hundred or even a thousand years from now? What about ten thousand? Would there still be myths and fables about those legendary people whose ideas changed the course of the stars? Would people, flung across the distant reaches of space still look to one another across the deep gulf between the stars, united by ideas and dreams that had their genesis lost in the mists of time? Would they look back and wonder what those mythic people were really like, in lost America, on the shores of forgotten Earth?
Would your ancestors stare back across the darkness of time at you, reaching out to touch your hand as you reached for them across the ages? What if you had the chance to send a message like that? What would you tell them? What is in us that you would communicate to them, lest they ever forget?
Have you ever felt like the world was whispering to you, "Wait...just a little longer. It won't be long now." Have you ever felt the faintest pull of those mighty strings, like greatness was just beyond your sight, just out of reach? Have you ever entertained the notion that you were a giant, just waiting to heed history's call?
If someone built a statue of you one day, what would they say of it? What would you be doing? And when it was crumbled and faded, what would they whisper of that figure in the gloom, still communicating its message silently across the stars? What legacy is yours?
What would your message be?
