Let's start with my birthday (March 1st) - 2 nights of par-tayness and great food. BIG THUMBS UP for chicken enchiladas at The Willow, and equally huge thumbs for the wings at Brass Taps.
March 15th - Powderfinger at The Guvernment. What a WICKEDAWESOME show. LEMME TELL YA, these guys just get better and better. Their newest record, "Vulture Street" (out in Canada today) is their most " direct and stripped down, back to their roots" effort to date, and it's one of my faves.
The other albums of theirs I own (or have the mp3's from are "Odyssey Number 5", " Double Allergic", "Internationalist" and "Parables For Wooden Ears". I can't recommend them enough.
They're a very talented, tight (together for 14 years) and intelligent band who put on one HELLUVA great live show, complete with smoke, wicked lighting and lasers.
Oh, nice guys too. (Aussies love their beer almost as much as us Canuckleheads!!!)
