Let's set the scene, I'm considered Lipstick.. I have long hair, i have acrylic nails, i dress femme and yes, i wear makeup!!
These days i'm finding myself surrounded by gay women with short, cute, well styled haircuts (my girlfriend being one of the main advocates) and i notice that when i'm not with my girlfriend..
I do not get noticed by other lesbians..
Is this because im simply unnattractive or because i don't have the trademark haircut?
Sometimes i wish there was a sign, a tattoo, a armband, a special hand shake, a special pattern of winking that would single you out and yell 'HEY GUESS WHAT... I'M GAY TOO!!!'
I love that game where you spot another lesbian, or another gay couple and you guys make eye contact for that split second and you're both thinking 'hahaha there's another one.. i know what you get up to'
(come on who doesnt play that game!?)
But no, there isnt such thing for me looking femme, unless I decide to dress like a boy and cover myself from head to toe rainbow!!
Now my girlfriend loves it, which is fine by me because i also enjoy looking like a lady.. but part of me wishes that i could shed the locks and sport a dashing new hair style to fit in a little better!
I also think part of its appeal is that i would (hopefully) have less men make disgusting and un-subtle attempts to hit on me..
Although i do get great pleasure in saying 'Sorry, my girlfriend wouldnt really appreciate you buying me a drink'
The look on their faces is priceless... but then its often clouded by sleaze..
So i think the bottom line is.. I'm mostly happy with how i look, but i am definitly a wee bit jealous of all your ladies who have sexy short hair!!!
Maybe one day ill get the guts up and just do it..
I think my mother would cry.. but hey.. hair grows back!!!
Ok well that's enough whinge for one night!!
Goodnight!
