woke up this morning feeling fine, got something special on my mind....bobo's going to mass
actually, didn't get my usual sunday sleep, mass at notre dame very interesting and got to see the inside this time, walked around old port, stopped at this french cafe and had macaroons...ok but chocolate ones would probably be better, street performer that bobo was really amused with, finally went to an italian rest. that bobo had been to before and really enjoyed the unlimited salad bar and garlic butter with bread, i had the spaghetti pesto which was good, walked about st.denis and such...bobo still not so good with directions, stopped at manana to share a strawberry margarita sans alcohol, finally found rockaberry which is know for its large cakes and pies, bobo ordered boston cream which i think is too sweet and i tried the truffle one which is pretty good, walked back and went to isakaya, japanese rest. about 5 mins from bobo's res. had to wait awhile for service but the food was good and the chef was this nice asian man, wished i had such a nice japanese place so close and reasonably priced near my dorm but then i would spend too much, bobo had green tea ice cream and i ordered seared salmon nigiri, halibut carpaccio with roe, and spicy tuna chunks with cucumber...was all really good, wish i could go again, went to bobo's caf to have poutine (french fries with gravy and cheese) actually pretty good but then again i like gravy, packing and such now
(had boustan's chicken shwarma and garlic potatoes really early this morning, don't know how we ate it all after the chocolate...think we all just wanted something savory, soo greasy and good, tho too many pickled beets)
