Today in Unholy Unions . . . . spotted at the grocery store: MISO CHIPOTLE GRAVY.

1) What?
2) WHAT?!?!?!
3) WERE THERE DRUGS INVOLVED?!?!?

Well, it was enough to spur me to write the following, which I've been meaning to do for awhile.

I am a big ol' chicken when it comes to food. I will try new things but I have an aversion to anything too weird or exotic. I think the last thing I tried that was outside my box was Tomato and Basil flavored Chips (which, as it turns out, are just potato chips dipped in ketchup). Surprisingly tasty though.

Yogurt soda. *gag*. I don't think I would have made as far as the smell. One look at it in the bottle would have had me running the other way, lol.

Heh . . . and it was the look of the bottle that got me wanting to try it! :D I think it would have been bearable if it had at least a LITTLE bit of sugar/sweetness to it. It did not. It was like drinking super SUPER strong plain yogurt. With aggressive carbonation.

I do have a line between "interesting" and "TOO interesting". I approach this whole thing like I approach movies: I can usually tell if I'll like it or won't like it just by looking at it. I won't bother with stuff I know I won't like. But as for stuff where I don't have a clue (like yogurt soda) . . . yeah, I'll give it a try.

And I'll try ANY flavour of chips! It's kind of hard to screw up a potato chip. Tomato and Basil chips taste like chips dipped in ketchup? Does that mean they taste like ketchup-flavoured chips? I'm thinking no . . . because ketchup-flavoured chips don't taste like ketchup at all!

They really do taste like ketchup-flavored chips (Heinz ketchup, specifically), which I'm guessing was not their intention, lol.
