Alas, this is a mournful day, as Sir Lally is on his own in the City that Never Sleepeth, and I am here, without both him and one that is very special to both of us, (#1 and #2, you know who you are!) I regret that I make this update alone, but I pray that Sir Lally will add his incredible writings to this when he may ( Read more... )

Sir Lally writes again! for_st_lunacy January 4 2006, 04:20:56 UTC
Hello dearest readers and picture seers, and, most importantly to me, Sir Tasker, my brother!
I am still located in the magnificent New York City, and I must report, having seen just a taste of the 7 streets nearest me in the heart of Manhattan, I am most impressed by its size. My realization of the glory of Humankind's creative capacity, both in both the physical and imaginative senses, has until this point eluded me. But now, I so clearly see these mammoth towers of steel and stone, with the bright, colored lights that wash over their pinnacles and the glow of office lamps that are peppered along their silhouetted forms once the darkness siezes the land. Now I so clearly see that, in this city and those like it, Man has reached and surpassed the levels I never dreamed him of being able to surpass. Indeed, in this dark age, the sheer girth and beauty of this city, with its surreal proportions and mannerisms, has restored in me a sense of faith in the nature of Man and his creations.
But how I do miss home! Tomorrow I am to see Spamalot, and perhaps view this world from the top of the Empire State Building. I shall be returning as soon as Thursday eve, yet my heart beats solemnly still for the desire to be reunited with my dear abode! And also, my most beloved friends. I am so honored that you, Sir Tasker, have dubbed me the First of your miss-ed friends. I daresay I myself can guess #2, and do believe me sir, I miss Jen greatly as well. I would she were back in these United States, though I am sure France to her is a marvellous realm!
I am soon headed to bed. But be assured - as dashing as this metropolis is, it is nothing when compared to my sweet and permanent home. I miss thee all, numbers One and Two especially, and if I may quote Sir Erik, I believe they know who they are!

A fond adieu!
Sir Lally

Aye, Brother Lally, I have also witnessed the sparkling beauty of that fair land, with it's monoliths of metal and lights, and though I miss you terribly, there is still a palpable bond between us even at this distance, and I believe your time there is to be more well spent then if you were just to cavort around your native land forever with I. And Jen I am muchly happy for, as I am posotive she is enjoying herself in the lands of Gaul. But indeed how lonely I am without either of you! One request, brother, make this trip be not in vain, for it is a marvelousplace with so much to see!

A warm Tschuss!
Sir Tasker
