Who: Robin and Much
What: A heart-to-heart
Where: A cave near Wadlow
When: January 1st (backdated due to my extreme laziness)

If there was one thing Much hated more than Robin not talking to him, it was Robin not talking to him while they were trapped in a cave during a snowstorm.

When the gang split up to do deliveries, Much had volunteered to go with Robin to Wadlow. It was the first time the two of them had been alone since their disagreement. As much as it hurt him that Robin had confided his burdens to Marian and not Much, the one who shared them, this rift between them hurt him more. He had to at least try to talk to Robin; to make things right. Robin, however, seemed to have no interest in doing so, remaining focused on the mission despite Much's attempts to start a conversation.

It had started to snow heavily as they neared the village, forcing them to take refuge in a cave. Perfect. In spite of himself, he couldn’t help thinking of that other time when they were stuck in a cave -- when Marian was dying and Robin wasn’t himself and that horrible physician had led the Sheriff and Gisborne and practically an army of men to their hideout, and he was running around in a panic thinking they were all about to die. I thought if I survived the Holy Land, then I would die by the fire in Locksley, not in some forest in some poxy cave!

But that wasn't even the worst. "This is exactly like that time in the Holy Land," he moaned, pacing the cave floor restlessly. "You know, when the Saracens had us trapped in a cave? Well, maybe not exactly -- we were in the desert then, and it's snowing now. But we're trapped, and we're probably going to die. I don't know which is worse, the snow or the Saracens." The Saracens whom they had killed, to the last man, while escaping the cave and fighting desperately for their lives.
