Arguments and Talks (Closed to Robin)

Jun 28, 2011 03:51

Who: Robin and Marian
What: a long needed talk
Where: camp
When: December 12th, during the night

Marian was finding it easier and easier to sleep in camp and she was glad of it. They needed the rest if they were going to be busy each day, they couldn’t have a lack of energy any day. Who knew what they could run into after all; no day was the same. And she enjoyed it more than she really imagined she would have. The excitement and the thrill of adventure was something she had always yearned for since she was a child and after so long being cooped up she was ready to be given freedom which was what she had here. Of course she was still restricted slightly and they had work to do. But she loved it and never grudged having to help others instead of enjoying the air and the chance to breath. This was what she was meant to do. And, of course, with the forest came Robin. Her betrothed now. That was enough to make her wake with a smile on her face.

Only this time she didn’t.

She didn’t know what it was but something within her switched on and she woke up. She hadn’t been awake during the night in a little while, not since she fully settled here, and she knew straight away something was wrong. But it wasn’t wrong in general, it was Robin. They were so close that she was nearly perfectly in tune with him and the moment she realised that there was something wrong with him she was on her stomach so she could face him. He was thrashing slightly, his face even in the low light of the fire showing that whatever was in his head was not pleasant. She wanted to reach out, soothe him, but she had a feeling that he normally was left. After all the gang were still sleeping. It wouldn’t be smart to touch someone clearly in the midst of a nightmare; it could either make it worse or make him lash out. So she moved closer so that she would be there for him waking.

This was something she should have known about.
