Who: Lucatz, Isabella
What: Lucatz and Izzy have a quiet talk (
continued from here)
Where: Nottingham Castle
When: 29 September, well after sunset.
Beyond the doorway from the Great Hall was a corridor. In one direction it led outside and in the other it led to the kitchens, dungeons, and a number of other rooms and hallways- including one that lead to a certain library. The couple walked past the stairs down to the kitchens first and though they passed several people, no one tried to stop them. Lucatz had expected there would at least be a guard or two in the hallway to keep the guests from wandering outside, but they were curiously absent. He certainly wasn't going to complain about not having to explain where they were going though. Not far past the kitchens was the entrance to the dungeons and Lucatz paused there a moment. “Dungeons are down there,” he said softly, “Lets hope neither of us ever has to see them.”
The hallway ended in a curved staircase leading up. Outside the sun had set completely, leaving only the moonlight and the torches in the courtyard below to light the open-air corridor. Lucatz breathed deeply as the pair stepped out of the stairwell, enjoying the cool night air. He glanced around; There was a distinct lack of guards here as well. He thought he saw some movement on the battlements across the way and there were still men milling about the main entrance of the castle. Vaizey's security was good in show but lacking in functionality. Lucatz sighed, No wonder Hood has no problem coming and going.
After giving her a moment to adjust to the dim light, Lucatz began walking with Audrey towards the corner portico. There had been so much he wanted to speak with her about: her past, her brother, her time in Nottingham, his unknowable future, her unknowable future. But when he opened his mouth to speak he found he didn't know quite where to begin. It was so nice and quiet outside, it didn't feel right to continue their teasing flirting, nor to just jump into depressing concerns. He opted to start with what might be the easiest question he had for her, “Are we still keeping our promise not to discuss certain subjects? Or will you tell me why you are here with me instead of with your family? Not that I am complaining.”
(ooc: the geography at the start is our attempt to reconcile the bizarre ever-changing layout of the show, feel free to not consider it as canon beyond this post. Also godmodding done with permission.)
