The world didn't end, after all. When you've been here for a while, you start to... not take everything at face value.

That's not a type of threat I'd ever take lightly, especially somewhere where the laws of nature don't seem to apply all the time. And things got pretty nasty here even without that.

But anyway, have you had foreboding feelings before...?

....ah yes. A bit of a mess here awhile ago. The deities were threatening that all our homeworlds would be destroyed if we didn't perform sacrifices, there were strange talking animals prowling around taking dues, and... it was rather confusing. But everything turned out all right in the end.

The arrancar seem to pretty much do what they please anyway, I'm not sure how much a 'war' would have differed anyway.
