thanksgiving break was pretty good! thanksgiving day itself was a bit on the boring side (everyone is with their own families) but at least we didn't fight at all this weekend. and i got to see friends, for whom i am very thankful. i went to the alumni Mass at the HS, then that night a whole bunch of us went to dinner at Macaroni Grill & hung out in Vig's basement. i had breakfast with my Amiga at our diner, and fridy nite got to hang out with more friends- luckily my parents didn't mind having people over late even though my mom couldn't fall asleep for a while till we moved into another room and quieted down. saturday i went with the family to see Brooke Shields in Wonderful Town on broadway, and that was such a cute show. also, randomly, we ran into a family friend right on the street like a block from Times Square-- he was on his way to some museum, which reminds me, i want to check out the MoMa!
i'm reading this really interesting book called Girlfriend in a Coma. the premise is this teenage girl falls into a coma and wakes up twenty years later- everyone she knew in high school has grown up around her but no one has made any real progress in their lives. she remains this un-jaded, un-cynical person and she can see through everyone else's adult facade.
