blazing through The Devil Wears Prada and lamenting my materialism (sort of). celebrating the time of singer/songwriters (2002-03, the age of johnson, mayer, and mraz, at least in my life).
uuummm things are pretty good i decided to stop work a week earlier b/c i can't work the following weekend anyway and i don't want to call out and have that on my record, in case i want to go back. hanging out as much as i can, both in the city and at home. supposed to be going to woodbury this week and maybe i can find shoes/sneakers but who knows. and my family wants "to spend time" with me before i go. i like temporary things, i like it when the end is in sight, i like it when i don't feel like i'll be in one place doing one thing from now until goodness-knows-when. knowing when i'll leave gives me something to look forward to, a deadline before which i'll make the best of it. is this going to be a problem later in life?
the hot weather has come to stay. laying out in the backyard, however, is not as fun as hanging on eddie's. not that that's stopping me.
