the coolest thing i bought in Dublin is a CD w/ acoustic covers of pop hits such as "toxic," "naughty girl," and "no diggity."
it was a great week... i'm such a dork but i liked the business stuff as well as going out during our free time. i won't talk about the former though, b/c then i'll just prove how big a dork i am. most of the pubs were huge, inviting, and packed- just begging for pple to mingle & converse. very different from the tiny, cramped bars by school. we kept giving ourselves away as americans, and people over there are in love w/america- they have either vacationed there already or have plans to. during one of our nights out, i basically learned this irish guy's life story and how he's got a one-way ticket to LA after graduation. i was very impressed with how much the youth travel; seems to me they are really encouraged to, much more so than we are here. gives me wanderlust.
i can't really write much now tho i'll prob. keep bringing up the trip in conversation till i get annoying. just slap me. -grid
