The sudden upswing in their fortunes, the appearance of the mysterious doe, the recovery of Gryffindor’s word, and above all, Ron’s return and their kiss, made Harry so gay that it was quite difficult to maintain a straight face.

I don't know about bad... it was an extremely hilarious pun.

I can't say I like your version better than the original because Ron/Hermione is and always will be my OTP but I do enjoy it a lot!

Well I've always shipped Ron/Hermione since I started thinking about whom would end up with whom, but I've grown quite attached to Harry/Ron in the past six months. And in this rewrite Ron loves Hermione; he just loves Harry more. ;D

Oh yes, I've become quite attached to them myself hehe but I've shipped Ron/Hr so long that I sometimes feel that I'm betraying them! lol

In several of the scenes you've done, it's a bit difficult to see where JKR ends and you begin. This is a good thing. I'm not a Harry/Ron shipper, or even a slasher at all, but the concept of this intrigued me. :-)
