[Gau turns out to be a skinny, fine-boned boy no taller than a woman, with adolescent-large oversized hands and feet, unruly black hair, large, tilted black eyes, a snub, freckled nose and...a rather sour expression. His clothing is fastidiously orderly and neat, from the tie tucked into his sweater-vest, to his knee-pants and boots. He looks like

SEE?! That was totally insensitive! You just don't want it badly enough to work on treating people nicely for it, that's all! That's what really annoys me about that stupid subculture! After a while, it's jsut easy to get what you want without any connection, and because you don't bother to work at making any connections before you get intimate it's unfulfilling, and bad for your body and your heart! It's jsut EASY! So people go for it!
If you really wanted someone to like you and stick by you, then you'd stop acting like ti doesn't matter what other people think as long as you get what you want! But you don't want it badly enough! When you care anything about someone, you want to help them in whatever they do. But who do you want to help? the moment you meet new people you already insult them, and just pick on them, and try to make them mad at you!
Homosexuals make up between two and ten percent of the population! It's not like you don't have a chance! You just don't want to have to work for it! It's lazy, and selfish to just keep going at things that are unfulfilling just so you don't have to work or take chances! If you wanted someone to like you, you'd do something about it!

I won't shut up! [How rude! He bristles like a tiny, thorny, self-righteous hedgehog.] I don't need to actually go out and do something myself just to even have an opinion about it! That's stupid! I can't say anything about something unless I'm stuck in it just the same as you?! That's really stupid! You don't have to be a blind person just to see that someone else is blind! That doesn't make any sense at all! And I was saying something completely different!--If you take anyone and give them that sort of setup it's bound to happen! All the incentives are there! I know it's unfair and sickening and stupid! It doesn't change how things work! [He makes small, almost popping-noises, he's so mad.]
Saying it's all just because someone can't love themself enough is the real bullshit-! [He can't even say the word right. he doesn't swear, normally, so his voice makes a funny falter, almost like it's trying to censor itself, cracking. He goes red, but tries to hide it with his fury, hands curling into small, ineffective fists.]
Y-You don't know anything about me, either! You can't just scream at people because they say something you don't want to hear! Some of us just want to help you!
[He did. In his own way. It's his smallness in part. His own personal physical weakness compared with that of those around him. People in trouble become Gau's personal planning projects, perhaps out of some memory of the constant bulling he endured in his youth, the unjust murder of his mother, his place in the world of Nabari... Wrongdoing, or things in the way of those projects of betterment are pointed out, and disassembled or destroyed as well as he can manage. He fixes people. And things. Usually, it just makes him a nuisance; a busybody, but deep beneath it all...his motives are actually pure in the way a parent's would be, and as easily and thoughtlessly self-sacrificing. And his discipline...is sometimes just as unpleasant to encounter as well.
Of course, he's fairly oblivious as to how he comes off to others. All he sees are the purity and righteousness of his own motives. He's not always the most sensitive of people, though. Particularly when he's angry, and he's an easy person to get a rise out of even on the best of days... He is extremely angry, now, words just flying out unstructured, unplanned. Some little part of his mind is flashing a warning flag. He has a vague notion that he tends to get into more trouble with people when he's angry... but the nagging thought of caution really doesn't stand a chance against the flood of "righteous" anger.
He focuses on Malik, glaring. Sure, he's being mean, and obnoxious, and he's making his ears ring, but he can't let it go. Something needs to be fixed, and no matter what Malik says, or shouts, or no matter how angry he makes him, someone has to do it, and he's already here...
Someone has to do it.]

You know what?! FUCK YOU! Fuck EVERYONE! I'm sick of no one understanding! If you were in my place, if you where in my shoes, then you'd understand! Until then, just PISS OFF!

Why is it so impossible for you to accept any opinion aside from the ones you want to hear?! Do you honestly think I'm born under a rock somewhere?! Do I have to find someone GAY to agree with me before I'm allowed to say anything?! That's...that's just stupid!

You're forcing your opinion on me by demanding I shut up! [Aah! Hypocrisy! He still looks incredulous--are there people who are actually this rigid in the world?! And what's more...]
And don't you DARE talk about killing so lightly! [he's too angry to think about what he's saying by then--that's one nerve the strikes out more then most] Do you think saying something like that is cool?! Do you think it'll scare me?! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT KILLING!

Sometimes Gau would really love the capacity to defend himself. At other times, Raikou's skill was...scary.
He doesn't want to imagine what Raikou would do to Malik with a sad, absent smile on his face all the while, if he found out...]

I...don't want Raikou-san to hear you saying that. That's all.
[He really doesn't.]

HE'S NOT LIKE THAT!
[He hesitates, trying to think quickly of how to put this. Argh! Raikou's not gay! He ca't be! But he can't argue that with this guy because he'll jsut pick on him because he's getting heated. Oh! How would Raikou answer this...?
He breathes in, forcing himself to calm...]
Raikou-san...isn't what he looks like.
