Do you want to write stories about a bunch of football players but just can't? Do you have the urge to contribute to fanfics but don't know how? Do you want to make someone's Christmas a little brighter? Then become a beta for the Footy Secret Santa!
Job description:
This position requires you to assist an individual in their fic writing process. This job includes, but is not limited to, proofreading, having ideas thrown at you, comforting a distressed writer who may or may not be pushing it very close to the deadline, experiencing a rude amount of feelings or holding someone's virtual hand.
Since this is more of a light-hearted event, though, it mostly means proofreading and helping someone sort out their thoughts!
We ask that you remain polite and courteous during the process, and as always, have fun! Please be aware that being reliable is a key quality to being a good beta. It should go without saying that you must not reveal the writers or their works before the reveals.
Who:
Pretty much anyone. Native english speakers or people with a good knowledge of the English language preferred. Writers will be the ones picking their betas, so as long as they don't pick the person they're writing for (which, DON'T) we're all good.
You can help how many people as you want, but please don't exert yourself. If you only have the time to help one person and someone contacts you, you can edit your comment here to let everyone else know you've been ~chosen~.
