I am reading this book called The Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis, and amzing book by the way. I highly recommend this book to any and everyone.
There are so many awesome quotes from this book, and I wish I could put them all in here, but that would be such a long journal entry and I am only half way through it. So, for now, I am just putting in this one, and then maybe I will put others in later.
"It is during such trough periods, much more than during the peak periods, that it (a person) is growing into the sort of creature He wants it to be. Hence the prayers offered in the state of dryness are those which please Him best... He wnats them to learn to walk and must take away His hand; and if only the will to walk is really there He is pleased even with their stumbles."
That is just a comforting thing to read because even during our troughs, we should continue to pray during our times of dryness, continue to look to God for strength, and continue to walk even when the road is tough.
