I've just discovered the online graphic novel
Off-White.
If you want to pigeonhole its genre, you could label it Wolf's Rain with Norse mythology, but it's grimmer and more character-driven than that, with some protagonists whose unexpected depths turn out to be... unexpectedly deep.
I've commented before that I'm a sucker for anything with wolves in it, even if they're highly anthropomorphised, and I'll freely admit that this one has its flaws, including a slow start and some highly-predictable tropes. But somewhere around chapter 5 it suddenly becomes ambiguous, lyrical, taut, ferocious, exquisitely portrayed, and really really good.
