Apropos of my previous post: I ascribe much of my current well-being to the course of citalopram antidepressants I've been prescribed.
Note that I specify the course, not the drug. Curiously, medical research has yet to establish any definite evidence that SSRI antidepressants reduce the risk of suicide more than placebo sugar pills do. Yet my experience is categorically that the difference between being on SSRIs and not, is pretty much the difference between being a normal reasonably-happy person, and having your soul garrotted.
If that's placebo, then-what can I say? Sign me up for the double-strength!
