Poll digest: Hammy the Squirrel

The poll I originally posted to find out how hectic people think I am:

Poll

I had a specific interest in mind. What I wanted was, not to discover whether people think I'm hectic, but to find out how people's opinions of my hecticness differs from my own.

I guess most of you have seen Over The Hedge, and you'll remember the delightful scene where the hyperactive squirrel drinks an entire can of stimulant energy drink. The movie promptly slows down to his time-frame (complete with dodgy non-relativistic effects), showing that although he's a whirlwind of energy to others, from his own viewpoint he's actually a rather relaxed and tranquil guy.

The poll posts a mean of 3.29 ("slightly more hectic than normal"), with a distinct skew to the hectic side; the modal average is 4 ("fairly hectic"). The difference grows more pronounced if you remove the nine people who've never met me in person: those who know me in the flesh voted an average of 3.5. Of the 21 votes for '4' or '5', all but one came from personal acquaintances. It looks like the world finds me fairly zippy.

Here's the amusing bit: if you ask me, being me is a fairly laid-back business. I feel that I tend to amble comfortably through life, watching things happen around me. I originally voted 2, then amended it to 3; call it somewhere in between. The average rating from people who don't know me in person, and form their opinion from the self-image in my writing, was 2.5.

So that's it, folks. My psychological archetype is statistically proven to be Hammy the Squirrel.
