Milestones

Naut was out this morning when I got up, so I sneaked into his bedroom and stood on his scale.

80.6.¹

80 kilos. It's a milestone. At the age of 31, I've finally made it to 80 kilos, squarely in the middle of the "OK" range of the Body Mass Index. So I can at last claim to be of "normal" build, rather than being scrawny like one of the farm chickens that scratch and squawk in the poor soil of the Cornish smallholdings I grew up on.

I just finished totting up my expenditures for last month. I spent 0.2% more of my net income than I had budgeted, but that minute excess was spent on feeding rare steak to nerkitt, so I consider that it was surrendered in the service of the greater good.² And that still leaves 50.7% that went untouched into my bank accounts. If I'm living from statement to bank statement in the service of the Three Year Plan, at least The Plan itself is going well.

¹ That's "176 pounds" in the parlance of ex-colonies who are still under the Imperial sway.
² Small lapses of logic are one of the early signs of being under rat mind control. A later sign is not caring.
