Now I can look back with nostalgia on the four days spent modelling irrigation systems. The powers of ten dropped and gained indiscriminately, the glee on discovering that our model worked (!), the disbelief that it bore any resemblance to reality.

It all serves as a lovely reminder of why I prefer pure maths.
