A kiwi fruit has a slightly minty taste if you eat it right after a tangerine.

I finished reading "Exterminate All the Brutes" and The Exception to the Rulers this weekend. The Exception to the Rulers, in terms of content, was a lot like Amy Goodman's 2003 speech at Centennial Hall (and, I imagine, every other speech during that tour). But that's not a bad thing. "Exterminate All the Brutes" was disappointing, but I think I'll read at least one more of Sven Lindqvist's books before I give up on him. I don't know if "Exterminate All the Brutes" was characteristic of all of his writing.

speranzosa simultaneously recommended and lent me Afschineh Latifi's Even After All This Time: A Story of Love, Revolution, and Leaving Iran. (There should be a verb that means to simultaneously recommend and lend; maybe I could say she recolended it.) I wasn't sure if I'd need a break from books about Iran, after reading Persepolis, Iran Awakening, and Lipstick Jihad, but I did read a bit of the book yesterday, and so far I'm enjoying it.

It occurred to me yesterday that I never got a W-2 from Borders. I wonder if they sent it to the store.
