Being the Address of A Northern Laydye to Her Various Selves, upon Retyring to Her Chamber

Sadly, this is not pleasant, but venting is occasionally necessary.  (Oddly enough, it’s been brought on because I finally have had some sleep - far too much, in fact.  My head’s all soggy now, but I have doubts as to whether I’ll be able to repeat the process.)

1) Note to unconscious mind:

I know that I have a tendency to stick my fingers in my ears and go ‘Lalalalalala - everything’s fiiiiiinnnne…’ until you have to pick up something heavy and slap me round the head with it to make me take notice but -

Does it have to be nightmares?   Does it have to be kittens?  (And, occasionally, puppies?)  Not that I’m suggesting that you start doing hideous things to babies by way of light relief.  It’s just an observation.

And another thing - waking me up cold and sweating with the image from that nightmare, just as it was chiming midnight on the radio - that was verrry funny.  See me laugh aloud at the cleverness of it. Hahahahaha.  You bastard.

2) Note to conscious mind:

Please remember what unconscious mind has just done to you.  Take more care of your loved ones and yourself.  Don’t blunder on until hideousness follows.  Please?

Life now has to involve frequent stops to move around, stretches, screen breaks, etc.  It may be dull, but that’s the way it is.  And if it plays hell with the flow of what you’re writing - tough.  Sort it out later.

And another thing - either you play with LJ and your friends or you type up your scribbling.  It’s a stark choice, but a necessary one.  Stop being such a child and sulking when you can’t do both.

3) Note to current WIP:

Please turn up in chunks I can manage.  Don’t make me totally hyper by turning up 11,000 words at a time.  Or, if you can’t turn up in chunks I can manage,  please do a deal with subconscious mind and vertigo so that becoming obsessed is somehow okay.

4) Note to vertigo:

Just piss off, alright?

angst and navel-gazing, dizzies, writing stuff
