More historical finds
I've had a fantastic day looking at old photos to send to my friend - I've scanned a few in and sent her selection number one. Can't believe how young we looked! Or how young we were. Also found a stash of old family photos and a stack of wedding invitations from years past, some of which have been nibbled by woodlice.
Bugger.
They went for the thinner paper or yellow ones, mostly - must be something about the dye that tastes nice, I suppose.
Found a photo of my grandmother (my dad's mum) and my great uncles as children that's amazing - I'd forgotten that she'd given it to me. I've got a photo of my mum's mother as a child, too, so it's nice to have the two. This one is much clearer than the other but they're equally astonishing - my mum-in-law says it's hard to believe that they're real sometimes.
