Gone but not forgotten
Happy New Year, each.
Unfortunately, it hasn't started with the best news, since my favourite ever website has been hacked by a bastard who's caused its demise. Total shutdown.
On a global scale, even on a personal one, compared to some of the tragedies that we've all faced recently you're maybe thinking, 'So what? No-one died.' And that's true. But that doesn't mean it's alright.
That site has been going for 6 years, been immensely successful and built a core of not just fans, but close friends. It's been a refuge and a distraction and a help in times of trouble. It hasn't been a website for many of us, it's been a second home, the favourite bar that you all go to no matter what's been going on, the place you go to just be.
Presumably that was the point behind destroying it, but as protests go it seems small-minded and petty to me. But there you go.
