Ho hum....

An odd couple of weeks, boring and exhausting at the same time which is why I've been so quiet.

("Great!! Why not keep quiet, then?") Shut up and go away, internal saboteur - I've just about had enough of you. And I've had enough of keeping quiet.

So what have I done in the past couple of weeks? Let's see...

Started getting BN into order. Cut, cut, cut. Scribble. Cut. Still confused.

Ordered a new washing machine on 1 April. 1 April - should have taken the hint.

Received new washing machine, on 7 April. Discovered it wasn't a washing machine, but merely a big white box as it didn't work. Wouldn't even switch on. Hurrah.

Telephoned Currys/Dixons Store Group. Said - fairly calmly - 'Rejected. Not of satisfactory quality. Sale of Goods Act!' to little man at Currys/DSG who wanted to send out repairs chappie.

Got agreement to replace washing machine. Couldn't get time and date. Telephoned Currys/DSG many times. Still couldn't get time and date. Typed up 4 page letter of complaint. Threatened to sue. Got time and date. Odd, as never actually sent letter. Got new washing machine.

Did lots of washing.

Discovered that voice tends to wander a couple of octaves when trying to keep control of temper. New manifestation, not entirely welcome.

Saw woodpeckers for first time ever in local woods. Never seen actual woodpeckers before.

Got intrigued by ad in local paper. Sent off CV. Got invited for interview. Got nervous.

Waved Bandit off on first bike ride for 12 months (damaged nerve in his elbow, so not able to ride before). Worried for hour and half. Greeted Bandit like lost soul on safe return.

Fought with corrupted Adobe Acrobat for 2 days. Fixed it. Hurrah! Fought with Word and WordPro. Couldn't fix it. Bugger.

Got over nervousness. Now fatalistic. Not good development.

Checked on everyone's journals. All appear to be alive, pretty well and having a good time. Excellent development.

I'm off now to test a wine I haven't tried before (on offer in Morrisons, as usual) as am under orders to get some decent stuff for mum. And I keep forgetting. Also not a good development - possibly life-threatening if mother finds out all the good wine offers have gone for the next month or so.

TTFN. Love and kisses to all who know me. And some who don't.

deeper in debt - the interviews, stuff done and nettles grasped, the bastard novel
