There was another thud from the trunk, followed by the voice of Charlie Brown's parents from the Peanuts. Steve laughed and forgot to shift into second gear. He was a little relieved to know that the pissant in the trunk wasn't dead. The people he was dropping him off too had specifically asked for steve not to do anything to him, but until now Steve had all but given up on fulfilling that last part. Still smirking, Steve remembered there was a tire, jack and some odd lengths of steel piping in his trunk that weren't secured to anything. At the next stoplight he waited to put the breaks on til the last second and then put the break pedal ont he floor. He heard his passenger and the heavy loose contents of his trunk mingle and meet the wall of his trunk. The trunk got quite again.
