Well, it's Sunday. Challenge time. Since it's transfer season and angst is running amok I thought we could start with something simple and a bit more uplifting. Summer means holidays too, so that's this week's theme. Go wild.
Now to business: some people asked me about this so I'd like to hear your opinion before I add anything to the community info. I know drabbles are traditionally 100 words in length, that's how I always saw it too but then I also know that it's hard to narrow it down (or up) sometimes and still get the result you were going for. It would be cool if everyone could post everything they wrote for this comm within, say, a ten word tolerance but just that wouldn't be fair to the people who meet the challenges and word count, so I've come up with a possible solution.
How about having a ten word tolerance for off-challenge entries, and allowing entries written for the challenges that don't meet the word count to be posted too but with a note stating it's not 100 words? To acknowledge the ones that do I'd add them to the comm memories, organized by week and theme, but only those. Or I'd add the others too but in an 'unsorted' category. What do you guys think?
Also, ideas for new challenges are welcome. Leave me a comment here or email me, whatever's best for you.
Have fun!
