3-4 weeks in cast... and he mustn't do any sports for at least 6 months. Except for swimming and special exercises. I have no idea how he will survive this, he's a sportaholic (if this word does not exist then I create it!). Maybe he plays trumpet 24/7 :) sports and music, that's his life.

awww..... that's gonna be hard.... but he can play his trumpet. that's good =D then he can slowly go back to sporting
